Inspector Juan Ovieda is summoned to a deserted marina warehouse where the body of a local journalist, known for digging into the city's elite, is discovered. Sparse physical evidence and rumours of high-level interference already swirl, complicating the investigation. At the scene, Juan encounters a member of the influential Castillo family, who seems intent on keeping the press at bay. As Juan examines the crime scene, he discovers a cryptic artifact, a small brass key with an intricate design, which he does not recognize. This key becomes his first clue, leaving him to wonder about its significance and origin.

CHAPTER 1 - Shadows on the Turia

Juan Ovieda follows the lead of the cryptic brass key to the archives of Valencia, hoping to uncover the connection to the journalist's death. Upon arrival, he finds the records mysteriously vanished and the aging porter unwilling to talk. Stonewalled by City Hall officials, Juan senses a deeper conspiracy at play. As he delves deeper into the aristocratic circles, he realizes the key may unlock secrets that some would kill to keep hidden.

CHAPTER 2 - The Vanishing Records

Juan Ovieda finds himself under surveillance, with his phone tapped and shadowy figures tailing him. Frustrated by the lack of progress and the mounting political pressure, he decides to clear his head with a night ride to the Albufera wetlands. There, he encounters an old fisherman who shares a chilling tale about a hidden cove and a secret meeting place used by the city's elite. This story provides Juan with a new lead, reigniting his determination to uncover the truth behind the journalist's death.

CHAPTER 3 - Whispers of the Wetlands

Mankind is on a mission. A mission to the future. What the future brings is still unclear but it will be disrupting. Current developments in genetics, robotics and AI look like mankind is working on its own successor, so to say a better mankind. For some, if not all, that is a frightening thought.

Meanwhile we are on that route. To feel comfortable traveling, we need facts from today, opinions for tomorrow and stories from the past to share with each other. After all, we're the ones who are going to be succeeded soon. Sometimes we need to share even a different view, call it a lie, but it may explain what we can not understand (yet).

Huddleworld is like the central plaza in the village we live in where we all share those stories. Only this time the stories are not written by humans but already by our successors. Most of the times unguarded, sometimes redacted. And yes, occasionally humans write here too, often in a team with the machines.

And then the language. yes, the site is set up in English. However, most of the stories are (automatically) translated into Dutch and Spanish due to the countries we love and live in. That all means that remnants of English will always be visible, like menu's or titles. We're sorry for that but accept it as it is part of the future too. In about hundred years everybody wil talk English, Chinese or Spanish. (too bad for the Dutch :)))
